O mind, beware the inevitable power of illusion

It has taken you lives away from your Father

and now you can't even find your own root.

The illusion is so powerful

Only the Guru, whose orders it operates under,

 can help conquer it.

Otherwise you have no chance.

O mind, beg for Guru's grace-

the Saving Grace of all.

Blessed are followers

who offer flowers at Your lotus feet,

O Guru, Lord of the World.

Oh Blessed flowers!

They kiss Your divine feet!

I have no flowers, Lord,

but please make me one,

so that I may offer myself,

forever at Your feet.

A call not received,

A call, was there one?

Who would call upon my poor soul?

I have faith in You,

I know You will,

one day.

One Blessed Day.

O Beautiful Lord,

O Director of the play of the Universe,

everything is under Your Command,

You do as You please.

ਦਿਖ ਜਾ ਇਕਰੰਗੇ ਛੁਪਦਾ ਕੀਉ?

ਕਹੰਦੇ ਓਹ ਕਦੇ ਨੀ ਮੁਕਦਾ

ਓ ਰੱਬਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਤੂ ਲੁਕਦਾ?

ਸਦਾ ਹਾਜੂਰੇਯਾ ਰਾਮੈਯਾ ਜੀਓ

ਇਕਦਰਸ ਕਰੋ ਦਰਸ ਦਿਖਾਓ ਜੀਓ

ਦਿਲ ਦੁਖਦਾ ਬੰਧਨ ਫ਼ਸੇਯਾ

ਕਦੋਂ ਮਿਲੇ ਓਹ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੇਯਾ?

ਸੁਨੋ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਸਵਾਮੀ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ

ਚਰਣ ਪਕਰੋ ਜਦ ਲਾਗੋੰ ਨਾ ਸੇਵ!

If I were to tell you what pleases me,

not only would you not believe me,

but also you would not understand.

What is between lovers

stays between lovers.

O me, have you forgotten times when there was no one by your side

none but Him?

Today, when He has given you little worth,

you have forgotten Him, the real friend,

and enjoyed with so-called friends.

O me, you have strayed from The Path.

Listen O my mind, never forget the real friend,

who chose you as an initiate,

who has sheltered you,

and who ever will.

I am such a sinner Lord,

sinner every moment.

O Lord, forgive my poor soul,

bless me with your loving grace.

The real social work is work done for you-

it is beneficial for the whole world.

The real groupwork is getting together to sing your praise.

The real counselling is to remind one to remember you.

I am tired of all these complexities-

please make me serve you and no other, O Master Lord-

This is the limit.

They know I've been begging you for this for so long-

and there is still no response from your side-

Please have mercy upon my poor soul, Lord.
